Hello everybody! This is a new feature on my blog, so bare with me while I figure out different things to put in it (an make a cool graphic!) I will use this time to discuss my current read with you all, and feel free to comment your opinions on this book and how you feel about I what I have written. It is really amore in depth look at my book on the go compared with the small snippet I give in Weekly Wednesday Update.
Book I Am Currently Reading: Soul Reapers by Shay West
I am currently really enjoying this book, I love being back in the world of Eli and Ava, their characters are so well developed it’s hard to out it down at night, just wanting to find out what happens next. West is such an incredible writer and uses techniques to keep the reader hooked.
What I like about this book:
As I mentioned, the writing style is incredible, and the characterisation is also immense, but what I really like is, even though it’s a sequel to Organ Reapers, the case is completely different. West isn’t relying on her previous storyline to build a similar case, but rather creating a completely new web of Eli and Ava to explore.
What I dislike about this book:
It’s difficult to pin point anything at the moment, but I would maybe say there is a very slight repetition, just coming into the case before anything really develops, but as the case gets going everything starts to get more unique.
My favourite character:
I love Ava and I love Eli, but what I think is the best aspect of their characters is their relationship with each other.
What I think will happen at the end of the book:
I have a feeling that it was definitely the person who is the main suspect as this point (no spoilers!) who is doing it, but he is definitely being possessed, and the actual killer is no more than a spirit or a soul who is using the bodies/body of human being/s to capture the children. As to how Eli and Ava will manage to capture a non physical being is completely in the dark for me at the moment!
That’s all for today, I hope that gives you a bit more of an insight as to what I’m reading this week, and I may have even persuaded you to look into reading the book yourself!
Happy Thursday and Happy Blogging!
