Hello fellow bookworms! Where has September gone? I feel like this month really has flown by (I think I say that about every month?) I’m back at uni now and already drowning in work, but I’m still continuing to blog when I can. I also haven’t been able to read as much, although I’m using my time when I’m early to uni to get some reading done, and audiobooks have also become my friends for my long commute twice a week. However, I’m trying to read some shorter books now (with the theory that I can get through them quicker…) and I’m only 3 books behind my Goodreads Reading Challenge schedule (my life revolves around that thing I’m not sorry).
What books have I read this month?
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by JK Rowling, Jack Thorne & John Tiffany (5 stars)
The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith (4 stars)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Audiobook) by JK Rowling, narrated by Stephen Fry (5 stars)
I’ve just realised it’s been a very Rowling-filled September… not that I’m complaining!
Side note: Stephen Fry was an absolutely incredible narrator for Harry Potter, and I will try to write a review for the audiobook (somewhen…)
What am I currently reading?
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
Speeding through this one, it’s very good so far!
Average Rating: 4.6 stars
Number of total pages read: 1,652 pages (not too shabby)
Books read toward 2017 Book Challenge goal: 37/55 books
Books I plan to read in October:
TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN BY JOHN GREEN
(I think I’ll just read this in October, just over and over and over…)
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
I think I said I’d read this in my last Monthly Roundup… I will read it this month!
What do you think of the books I’ve read this month? What about the ones I plan on reading? Leave your comments below, and book recommendations are always welcome!
Happy October and Happy Blogging!
