Books I Didn’t Manage To Read in 2017

Top Ten Tuesday was originally started by The Broke And The Bookish, where a topic is given every Tuesday and the blogger then produces a top ten list of books to fit the weekly subject. The topic this week is Books I Didn’t Quite Manage To Read in 2017. There were a lot of books I had lined up to read last year, but I’m such a mood reader and there were a lot of amazing new releases I wanted to read as well! These are the books I really wanted to read, but didn’t get round top picking up…

The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare

The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith

The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon

Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

Alex and Eliza by Melissa de la Cruz

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

The Host by Stephanie Meyer

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

A Darker Shade final for Irene

I really hope to read some of these in 2018! A lot of them are the first in a series, so I should have plenty of material to keep me going this year. Let me know what you think of the books on my list, and feel free to link your own lists below!

Until next time…

I have heard mixed things about Caraval, but it’s been sitting on my shelf for about a year now so I should probably give it a go at some point! So many people say Schwab is an amazing writer, it’s only a matter of time now before I get to one of her books!

For someone who never liked sci-fi in the slightest, I was pleasantly surprised with Illuminae and Gemina! The unique format makes it even better – although I’m telling everyone not to read those books on public transport. People gave me some weird looks when I had the turn the book in circles to read, haha.
Loved Six of Crows!

Hope you’ll get to read all the books on here; there are some amazing ones! And some I have yet to read myself, haha. Happy reading! 🙂

I literally JUST finished Six Of Crows. I’m so glad to see I’m not the only one that has left it so late! I’ve read Heartless and The Host and really enjoyed both (the second was quite surprising because I did NOT enjoy the Twilight series).

Awesome choices, feel free to check out my TTT list 🙂
