Question of the Week

Is there a book that you were required to read in school that you actually loved? – Suggested by Natalie Hearts Books.

The only required reading I actually enjoyed is a book called Abomination in Year 9. I had to read Wuthering Heights and Much Ado About Nothing for GCSE and hated them both!

Question of the Week

If you were to get a tattoo, what would it say or what would the graphic be? Or if you have a tattoo, share a picture and it’s meaning.- Suggested by Second Run Reviews

I have been considering getting a tattoo, but I can’t make up my mind as to whether I would be able to go through with the pain! If I did, I would get something along the lines of this…

f98a2d7e0c1c6d52425e059fbdc27ebf

… because I am some sort of mad typography freak and I absolutely love ampersands! I always think they represent a continuation of infinity: there will always an ‘and’. If I got another one, I would like an small open black and white book at the base of my back because 1) my love of reading and books and 2) the representation of ‘life is a story that you have written, don’t make it a book that you wouldn’t want to read’.

Question of the Week

If you can step into one characters shoes (in a book) and be them for a day who would it be and why? Also if you want to be creative what scene? via Seeing Night Book Reviews

I would want to be Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird because I would love to experience everything in that book again as a real person. Which scene? Uh… probably the scene where she is watching the trial in court, I loved that part in the book so much being told through a young girls eyes.

Question of the Week

How would you pitch to the biz to make your favorite book into a movie? via Girl of 1000 Wonders

I would probably write a very well thought out letter explaining why the book is so amazing, and pitch some ideas of my own for the movie. I would also make sure that they included all of the important scenes that all readers of the book would miss if they did not make the motion picture.

Question of the Week

How do you write your reviews via bluebooksandbutterflies.blogspot.com

I sometimes have questions I use and answer them, most of the time I just write and wing it. I take more care over my reviews for ARCs, I have a notebook I write notes in to add to my review if I pick up on something.

Question of the Week

How do you organize your books? Either at home on your bookshelves or on your reading-device, or on your bookish platform like Goodreads,Leafmarks or Booklikes.  – Unconventional Book

On my bookshelf, I organise by author, with larger (higher) books at the end, and smaller (shorter) at the other, and by order of series if applicable. On Goodreads, if I am really in the mood, I like to position the books on my TBR shelf in order I hope to read them, but sometimes they just get added and not really organised. I always make sure I mark my books as ‘owned’ if I have bought them, either hard edition or eBook, and shelve all my ARC books as well.
